About Annadel Melendez, LCSW
I’m Annadel Melendez (she/her), a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy in both Spanish and English. Raised in Chicago and drawing from my experiences within Mexican and Honduran cultures, I specialize in supporting children, youth, families, and educators through healing that centers cultural humility, liberation, and social justice.
With over ten years of experience working in schools and community settings, I support children and adolescents facing challenges such as:
Anxiety, depression, and trauma
Grief and loss
Identity, self-esteem, and school-related concerns
Family transitions and systemic stressors
My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in liberation-focused practices, trauma-informed care, and strength-based models. I integrate CBT, solution-focused therapy, and developmentally appropriate tools like play, art, and movement to meet each child where they are and nurture growth in a culturally respectful and empowering way.
I also provide support for educators navigating burnout and secondary trauma and offer supervision for social workers and interns, all through a lens of care that values community, culture, and healing.
Outside of work, I find joy in music, dancing, and spending quality time with my two daughters. My practice, Redes y Raíces PLLC, is a space of healing, connection, and collective liberation.
